Tidal Collections Ruth Weaver is the artist behind Tidal Collections 

Ruth’s love of sea glass and coastal treasures come to life in her unique pieces. Passionate about beachcombing, Ruth often finds herself collecting sea glass and shells from South and West Wales, where she feels a profound connection to the natural world. Her joy in sourcing and creating with these coastal finds brings each piece to life. 

No discovered treasure is too small as she derives great pleasure from creating mini shell and sea glass pairings as well as the larger framed art. Ruth lives by the coast in Wales, having previously lived in Bristol and snatches time away on the shorelines as often as she can. Her downfall she says is starting to create a piece in the evening with the intention of spending just a short time exploring different creative options, but then one hour easily stretches into four as she becomes totally absorbed with the beauty of the natural world and reworks the marriage of shells and sea glass until she’s happy that she’s created a piece that does justice to their beauty. Her desire is that you would be transported to the coast when you see her framed artworks and catch the joy of the ocean.
